What is it?

The Camu-Camu green is a tropical fruit that grows in the Peruvian Amazon Jungle, considered one of the greatest sources of vitamin C found in nature. The Camu-Camu can contain up to 4% of vitamin C, while the lemon can reach 0.5 % of vitamin C. Due to this quality Camu-Camu is perfect for the prevention and treatment of diseases of the respiratory system, own stations, it is cold and rainy. 


What are its properties?

Contains large amount of vitamin C, or Ascorbic Acid, a powerful antioxidant that helps to create collagen, a crucial component for the health of the skin, nails, hair, liver, bones, tendons, and ligaments. His frequent use strengthens bones, and promotes the healing of wounds. 

Relieves the symptoms of cold and has an astringent effect, i.e., decreased bowel movements. 

It acts also as a potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.

How to take it?

The Camu-Camu contains 40 times more Vitamin C than oranges and has a sour taste perfect for boosting orange juices, juice of lemon, strawberry smoothies and fruits of the forest. You can add in fruit smoothies, vegetable milks, yogurts, kefir, cereals and mueslis. 

Combines very well with the Powder, Raw Cacao, Maca, Chia Seeds, Syrup, Yacon and Pollen. 

A good combination would be to take a teaspoon of Camu-Camu and Pollen to your orange juice to get a supervitamínico winter. 

The recommended amount is 2 to 3 grams per day if used as a preventative and, of 5 to 10 grams a day if it is used as a treatment.

It should be consumed without the accompaniment of dairy products, as these could neutralize the power of vitamin C for iron absorption.
